Since Scan-Trans added the Karla Omayra and Global Carrier (Ex Thor Scan and Titan Scan) to its fleet, we have built a significant level of expertise in carrying huge modules on deck of the vessels. The vessels were originally designed as module carriers, and modules of more than 600 mts pieceweight have so far been successfully carried on deck, all loaded/discharged via vessels stern ramp by means of SPMT’s. The vessels are capable of accepting modules of upto 15 meters width and about 95 meters length. Due to the vessels having bridge forward, they have basically unlimited height possibilities.
