For IMO-classified materials, we typically use modern Danish coasters ranging from approximately 600 tons to 8000 tons.

As required, vessels are fully IMO-compliant, and fitted with smoke detectors, CO2 fire retardants, and requisite safety equipment.

Likewise, we observe the special requirements regarding the lashing and securing of cargoes, compatibility of various commodities, and the special situations at various ports of call regarding cargo handling, bunkering, or other transit arrangements and restrictions.

In addition, we pay careful attention to the proper handling of all documents.

We are particularly careful to take the appropriate steps to avoid problems with authorities, including possible seizure and/or arrest, as well as undesired visibility in public media.

As with our other businesses, we arrange, whenever possible, for the most suitable combinations of cargo, enabling us to hold down expenses.

We are also careful to do what is needed up-front to avoid disputes on charter contracts, cognizant of cases where owners took advantage of charterers and shippers who did not observe all the necessary formalities and agreements. This enables us to avoid paying dead-freights and unrealistic "extras".
