Perhaps the sea is in our genes. Our company originated in 1975 in Denmark, a country surrounded by the sea and the launching point for many of the early Viking ships. Although the Vikings' strength and ferocity has been well publicized, they were also Europe's first, modern trans-continental merchants, using vessels appropriate for the tasks at hand, whether military or mercantile. At a time when there were few maps, the Vikings first-hand experience gave them invaluable knowledge of the territory.
